  • What is 310-DUMP Junk Removal

    Our full-service hand-loading option: We haul away items that you no longer need, like renovation materials, construction debris, old sofas, mattresses, etc. We haul these items away no matter where they are located in or around your property. We do all the loading, hauling, and disposal. All you have to do is point and we take care of all loading and clean-up.

    We can take away anything non-hazardous that two people can lift.

  • How much will it cost me to get rid of my junk?

    You pay based on your needs; how much is loaded determines how much you pay. You won't be hit with extra costs later. All applicable fees are included in the quoted price. No surprises!

  • How do I book an appointment?

    Simply dial 310-3867 or book online and describe your disposal needs. We will give you an idea of how our prices work and then come by and give you an accurate quote on-site. We schedule our jobs so we can take the junk away on the spot, since most people are happy with our estimates and even happier with our service.

  • Do I have to be on-site for a quote/removal?

    No. However, we prefer that you are on-site when our trucks arrive. We call 20 to 30 minutes before arrival to let you know we are on the way. If you are can't be there, we can arrange to have the 310-DUMP crew review pricing over the phone to confirm acceptance and process payment in advance via credit card. We can do this as long as we have a contact number and your items to be removed are outside.

  • How big is your truck, and how much can you take in one load?

    Our truck fits 18 cubic yards of volume.(480 cubic feet), about the equivalent of 7-8 ordinary level pick-up trucks. The steel box on the back of our full-service hand-loading truck is 12 feet long, 8 feet, wide and 5 feet high. Beacuse this is one of the larger trucks available in the junk removal industry, you get the most savings per cubic foot.

  • How much is a cubic yard?

    3 feet high by 3 feet wide by 3 feet deep.

  • Do I have to do any of the loading?

    No, Our full-service hand-loading option it is exactly that. Full service. All you have to do is point to the items you would like removed. We load, you relax. We even sweep up before leaving.

  • Do you work evenings and weekends?

    We are open on weekends and can provide evening appointments. Contact us and we'll be happy to discuss your options. Special arrangements can be made if required.

  • Do you provide moving services, or pick-ups and deliveries?

    No, we do not. We are dedicated to junk removal.

  • What kind of payment do you accept?

    We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, cash and personal or company cheques. For the safety of our drivers, we prefer that you do not pay cash.

  • How is 310-DUMP different from other small junk removal companies?

  • Are you licensed to do this work?

    Yes. Our company, trucks, and employees are fully licensed and insured. Every franchise partner is registered and retains the necessary permits. Yes, we are fully covered with workers compensation, general liability and auto insurance.

  • Why can't you give me an exact price before you arrive?

    Pricing is based on volume and nature of the material. We cannot give you an exact price until we see how much space the items will fill up in our trucks. Over the phone we can schedule an appointment with you and review our pricing structure. The 310-DUMP crew provides the upfront final no-obligation pricing upon arrival. Factors such as where the material is located, the type of material, and how much you have all come into play. Prior to any work being completed, we will come out and give you the price for your approval. When you are satisfied with the price, the crew will load the materials on the spot and haul them away for you.

  • How far in advance do I need to book my job?

    Contact us as soon possible, as time slots fill up quickly. When you call, we will let you know availability in your area. At 310-DUMP we pride ourselves on helping you and taking care of emergency or time-sensitive situations, so either same day or next day service.

  • Why are appointments booked in four-hour timeslots?

    We do offer scheduled appointments. However, since we do not know the exact size of every job before we arrive on-site, we book our arrival in a four-hour window of time. This allows truck crews to deal with unforeseen circumstances, such as traffic or other customer jobs that are larger than expected. We can give you a call 30-45 minutes before we arrive to let you know we are on our way.

  • I really need this job done after hours. Can you do that?

    Contact us and we'll be happy to discuss your options. Special arrangements can be made if required.

  • What do you do with the junk?

    It depends on what you have. We will take some items to the recycling station and the rest to the dump. We are committed to the environment. We do our best to recycle as much junk as we can. We try and recycle up to 60% of the items we remove, including paper, wood, metal, concrete, plastic, and computer equipment.

  • Why can't you take hazardous materials?

    Drivers and trucks are not licensed to carry hazardous materials. Call your local recycling depot, fire hall, or waste management hotline for further assistance.

  • Can you move my stuff from one location to another?

    We are not licensed to carry items for the purpose of moving them. We can only take away items you no longer need. However, we have partnered with several professional moving companies and can provide you with their contact information. We can also provide you with labour within the property if it is combined with our junk removal services. Please call us to discuss your specific request.

  • Why do you charge?

    Truck crews do all the loading, cleaning up, and taking items to the local dump for recycling. We are charged at the dump just as you would be. Our 310-DUMP crew helps you get rid of unwanted items by removing them from wherever they are located, and taking them to be properly recycled or disposed of the same day. We save you the time, money, and aggravation that is associated with any alternative. Our pricing includes all labour, trucking, disposal fees, fuel, travel time, etc.

  • What equipment does your truck team bring?

    Two strong and efficient people, plus several shovels, brooms, rakes, and sometimes a dolly or a wheelbarrow and other supplies as requested. We do not carry ladders or other machinery.

  • What is the difference between full-service junk Removal and a drop-off dumpster? Why would I use your Junk Removal service rather than a dumpster?

    Our crew handles all the labour and clean-up, removing the items from wherever they are located. We charge based on how much space the items take up in our 18 cubic yard dump truck. Dumpsters sit on your property for extended periods of time, and you must do all the loading yourself. With the full service junk removal, two people come and do all the labour and clean-up and come in and out quickly.

  • Are you and Rubbish Express (Student Junk Removal) the same company?

    Yes. Our brand has evolved into 310-DUMP; however, we still love to employ students when we can. As well, we still have great people providing outstanding customer service.

  • What is the cost to rent a disposal dumpster? How long can we keep it?

  • How soon can we get a dumpster delivered?

    Delivery time varies from possible same-day deliveries to 1 or 2 days' notice. It is best to plan for your disposal dumpster a few days in advance so we can best meet your timing requirements.

  • What if I need more time than the days included?

    Give us a call and let us tailor a package to your individual requirements. We always provide a free no-obligation price before any work is started.

  • If I fill up my dumpster and require another, what is the cost?

    Once you contact us, it will be our pleasure to replace your full dumpster.

  • What time will the driver drop off my dumpster?

    Deliveries are generally made between 7a.m. and 5p.m. However, if you have special circumstances, please let us know and we will try to accommodate you.

  • What time will the driver pick up my dumpster?

    Unfortunately, we can not guarantee a specific time. Traffic and weather conditions play a role in pick-up time. Pick-ups are generally made between 7a.m. and 5p.m. Please let us know if you have special requirements and we will try and accommodate you.

    * Please ensure the dumpster is not blocked on the scheduled pick-up date.

  • What is clean fill?

    Clean fill are materials you might find in your back yard, like soil, sod, dirt, concrete, and asphalt. We have specific dumpsters for heavier materials like these. Due to weight restrictions, we can only supply a 10 cubic yard dumpster.

  • What materials can not be disposed of?

    We cannot dispose of refrigerators, air conditioners, and freezers due to the refrigerants such as freon. Items such as tires, batteries, chemicals, propane cylinders, railroad ties, and any other hazardous waste cannot be placed in disposal dumpsters.

    *Note - It is illegal to place any form of hazardous waste in a disposal dumpster. Please inquire at the time of booking if you have questions about the material you want removed.

  • I have no driveway. Can you put the dumpster on the street?

    You may require a permit. Please ask us about your local regulations.

  • Can you put the dumpster on my lawn?

    Yes. With a signed waiver, we can place the dumpster anywhere on your property.

  • How can I pay for the service?

    The preferred method of payment is by major credit card at the time of booking.

  • Can I pay with cash?

    You can; however, we will need a cash deposit. Once the dumpster is picked up and dumped, we will reconcile and determine the total bill. If the total cost of the dumpster use and disposal fees are less than the deposit, a refund will be issued within 30 days of the pick-up.

  • What sizes are the dumpsters?

    Container dimensions are as follows:

    • 10-yard dumpster: 4 ft high x 8 ft wide x 10 ft long
    • 15-yard dumpster: 4 ft high x 8 ft wide x 14 ft long
    • 30-yard dumpster: 6 ft high x 8 ft wide x 21 ft long
    • 40-yard dumpster: 8 ft high x 8 ft wide x 21 ft long

  • Are there any items I cannot put into my container?

    Yes, there are restrictions on certain items. For starters, only solid waste items are permitted in containers, No liquids are allowed. Other materials that are not permitted are: radioactive, volatile, highly flammable, explosive, biomedical, infectious, and toxic or hazardous in nature. Examples include chemical products, oil filters, propane tanks, antifreeze, and paint (except for completely dried latex paint cans).

  • What if the driver comes for delivery or removal and I am not ready for the container to be dropped off or removed?

    Unfortunately, in this scenario, we will have to bill you an additional $150. To avoid incurring extra costs, please notify us of changes to your order at least one business day in advance.

  • What if I need to keep my container longer or have it removed sooner?

    All changes to your order must occur at least 1 business day in advance to allow for processing, as terms and conditions apply. There is an additional charge for keeping the container longer than designated in your order.

  • Must someone be on-site when you deliver or remove my container?

    No, it is not necessary to have someone on-site for the delivery or removal of dumpsters. The driver will use his best judgment to place the container in the safest most accessible area. However, if you do not have a person on-site and you are not happy with the location of the dumpster, you will be responsible for all charges associated with its relocation. For dumpster removal, you must agree to provide unobstructed access to the dumpster on pick-up day. If the equipment is inaccessible, you will be responsible for additional pick-up charges, as terms and conditions apply.

  • How many tons can I put in my container?

    Our heavy-duty containers can legally transport up to 9 tons of material. Our light-weight containers can legally carry 3 tons of material.

  • Will I be billed for extra weight?

    Yes. Additional charges apply when tonnage exceeds that quoted in your order.

  • Will the dumpster damage my driveway?

    We highly recommend that you protect any surface where the roll-off is going to be placed with a 4' x 8' sheet of plywood. 310-DUMP is free and clear of any and all liability associated with damage to property due to dumpster placement.

  • Can I put the container on the street?

    Please check with us regarding your local municipality bylaws. Permits may be required.

  • What are my payment options?

    310-DUMP accepts the following credit cards: VISA, American Express, Mastercard, cheques, cash.

  • What does the price include?

    The price includes a one-time delivery and pick-up for a selected container size, along with tonnage quoted in your order. Additional taxes, excess rental days, and disposal fees may apply.

  • How long can I keep the dumpster?

    The rental is for the number of days quoted in your order. An additional charge will apply per day thereafter.

  • Do I need to call for pick-up?

    Yes. We have no way of knowing when you are finished loading the dumpster; therefore, you must let us know when you want the dumpster removed.

  • How much room do I need to allow to have a dumpster dropped off?

    We need the length of the truck plus the length of the dumpster in order to drop off the container (roughly 60-70 feet) and a minimum of 10 feet wide clearance in case of tree branches, overhanging wires,air conditioning units, bay windows, or overhanging roof edges.

  • Do I have to be on site for the delivery?

    Preferably, yes. We require a deposit on delivery. If you are present on delivery, you can give instructions to the truck operator about where you want the dumpster. However, different arrangements can be made for deposit and drop-off instructions.

  • What size dumpster do I need?
